Where to Watch The Housemaid (2026) — Is It on Netflix?

Short answer: No, The Housemaid (2026) is not on Netflix. The movie streams on HBO Max, where it debuted on October 9, 2026. If you searched “The Housemaid Netflix” and came up empty, that is why — it was never a Netflix title.

Where to watch The Housemaid right now

• Streaming: HBO Max (subscription) — the movie’s streaming home.
• Netflix: No.
• Prime Video: Not included with Prime — it is an HBO Max title, not a Prime Video original.
• Hulu / Disney+: No.
• Rent or buy: Check the major digital stores (Apple TV, Prime Video store, Fandango at Home, YouTube Movies) — availability and pricing change, so confirm in the store before buying.

Why is everyone asking if it is on Netflix?

Two reasons. First, Netflix is where most people look first, so every big new movie gets an “is it on Netflix?” search whether it belongs there or not. Second, The Housemaid’s story — a live-in maid, a wealthy family, secrets behind closed doors — sounds exactly like the thrillers Netflix usually carries. But this one is a Lionsgate film whose streaming debut went to HBO Max.

What is The Housemaid about?

Millie, a young woman trying to rebuild her life, takes a live-in housekeeper job for the wealthy Winchester family. The pay is good, the house is beautiful, and the rules are strange. The longer she stays, the clearer it becomes that the family is hiding something — and that her own past is not as buried as she thought. Sydney Sweeney stars as Millie, with Amanda Seyfried as Nina Winchester.
