Is Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 on Netflix? Where to Watch the New Season

Short answer: Yes, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is on Netflix. All 10 episodes premiered on October 20, 2026, at once — no weekly wait, no other service. If you have a Netflix subscription, you can watch the whole season right now.

Where to watch Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2

• Streaming: Netflix (subscription) — the season’s exclusive streaming home.
• Prime Video / HBO Max / Hulu / Disney+: No.
• Rent or buy: No — as a Netflix anime series, it is not sold episode-by-episode. A Netflix subscription is the way to watch it.

Do I need to watch Season 1 first?

No. Edgerunners 2 is a standalone story with a brand-new crew, set in the same Night City as the first season. Season 1 (2022) followed street kid David Martinez and netrunner Lucy; Season 2 follows Roman Carax, a young cinephile documentarian, plus Talia Yang, D, and veteran edgerunner Weak Kingsley. Knowing Season 1 adds flavor, but the new season explains everything you need. Creators describe it as sadder, darker, bloodier, and more raw than the first, with a 1990s-cinema feel.

What is Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 about?

A new crew collides in Night City around two dangerous trades: the Blackwall — the sealed-off rogue AIs beyond the city’s firewall — and braindance, which turns other people’s memories into product. Animation is by Studio Trigger, in collaboration with CD Projekt Red (the studio behind the Cyberpunk 2077 game). Season 1 won the 2023 Crunchyroll Anime of the Year award.
