Story / Synopsis
Josh Hartnett stars as Calvin Penney, a stubborn Newfoundland fisherman still haunted by his father’s unexplained death at sea decades ago. When a strange iceberg drifts into the isolated harbor town of Snook’s Arm, it brings an unseen terror with it — a mysterious sea creature that begins targeting the close-knit community. To protect his son Wade (Charlie Heaton) and his neighbors, Calvin teams up with Fonda Howander (Mackenzie Davis), a visiting marine researcher, to confront what lurks beneath the waves and uncover the island’s long-buried secrets. Created by Jesse McKeown (The Umbrella Academy), this six-episode Netflix limited series blends creature horror, Newfoundland folklore, and family drama.
