Story / Synopsis
October horror season has its new nightmare: Other Mommy, in theaters today. Eight-year-old Bela (Arabella Olivia Clark) starts talking to someone in her home — someone who looks and sounds exactly like her mother. At first the presence seems like a lonely imaginary friend. But “Other Mommy” wants something: “Can I go inside your heart?” — and as Bela keeps refusing, its manifestations turn aggressive, threatening the whole family. Oscar winner Jessica Chastain plays a chilling dual role as both Bela’s mother Ursula and the entity wearing her face. From producer James Wan (The Conjuring, Insidious, Saw) and director Rob Savage (Host, The Boogeyman), adapted from Josh Malerman’s bestselling novel Incidents Around the House (the Bird Box author).
