Evil Dead Burn (2026) — Streaming Now on HBO Max (#1 Trending)
Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead franchise is burning hotter than ever. Evil Dead Burn — the sixth chapter, directed by Infested‘s Sébastien Vaniček — turned a brutal theatrical run ($72M worldwide) into HBO Max’s #1 movie within days of its Oct 2 streaming debut.
Souheila Yacoub plays Alice, a grieving widow who seeks comfort with her in-laws at their secluded family home — only to watch them transform one by one into Deadites. “Family is the root of all evil” is the tagline, and this is the franchise’s most vicious family reunion yet: picked up from Evil Dead Rise‘s final victim, soaked in Halloween-season gore, and trimmed from an NC-17 to earn its R. With critics at 70% and audiences at 74% on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s October’s biggest horror streaming event.
