The Death of Robin Hood (2026) — HBO Max Streaming Release
The outlaw legend gets its darkest chapter yet. The Death of Robin Hood is A24’s gritty reimagining of the English folk hero — an older, battle-scarred Robin Hood (Hugh Jackman) living with the weight of a lifetime of violence.
After being gravely wounded in a battle he thought would be his last, he falls into the care of a mysterious woman, Sister Brigid (Jodie Comer), who offers him one final shot at redemption — forcing him to face the difference between the heroic legend people tell and the man he actually was. Directed and written by Michael Sarnoski (Pig, A Quiet Place: Day One), the film co-stars Bill Skarsgård as Little John, Murray Bartlett, and Noah Jupe. After its June theatrical run, it is Now Streaming on HBO Max (HBO TV premiere Oct 17).
